Citations doublecounts

After introduction of citations origin in TLS212 it happened that a percentage of patent citations are duplicated cause they have a double citation origin: both from applicant and search report.

For example: EP 1037159 (that is also appln_id 00000001) cites the same 3 documents both from search report and from applicant.

Patents cited in the search report
1.  Dual contact set for chip card reader.

Publication info:

EP0549568 (A2) 1993-06-30
2.  Memory module adapter.

Publication info:

EP0564105 (A2) 1993-10-06
3.  Chip-card reader for telephone system

Publication info:

DE19515713 (A1) 1996-10-31
Patents cited by the applicant
4.  Dual contact set for chip card reader.

Publication info:

EP0549568 (A2) 1993-06-30
5.  Memory module adapter.

Publication info:

EP0564105 (A2) 1993-10-06
6.  Chip-card reader for telephone system

Publication info:

DE19515713 (A1) 1996-10-31

About 0,73% of citations all over patstat and 0,33% in EP patents suffer from the same issue.
It is not clear what is the origin of this double counting, but very likely the issue should be faced by dropping search reports citation and considering them as applicant's citations.
